Past Ponds, Fields And Forests We Go

My husband, daughter and I ended another picture perfect day with an evening walk through the country-side here in the Auvergne, had an aperitif in the café of a nearby village and headed back just as the sun was setting. By then, the air had gotten cold and we hurried back to the house to start a fire in the wood-burning oven. You see, even if the days are sunny, the nights here can be rather cold, even in the summer.

The sunset was magnificent and the clouds seemed to be swirling in the sky.

But, oh my, how the days are flying by....
