This sign should be posted up and down Smith Street!
Glad you like it, MC Brooklyn. It cracked me up when I saw it on one of my walks.
Some of the stickers are also over by the playground at Smith St. and Carroll St. also, on the bank signs on the fence, Barclay's seeming to claim the playground as their territory. Need more Banksy-inspired commentary - so much better than people tagging their own names! I always prefer graffiti and stickers that has a purpose and a message, rather than the old school posturing of putting your name up. That's what made Banksy's movie about graffiti so inspiring. "Exit Through the Gift Shop", Banksy's film from a couple of years ago, showed how significant and funny graffiti and street messages can be. Fun for all ages!
Ha, you mean these stickers:http://pardonmeforasking.blogspot.com/2011/06/crazy-crazy-rich-white-people-ps-58s.htmlThe principal of PS 58 said at the time that they would be removed, but there are still some on the Barclay signs today.
Love the Kentile sign in the back - hope we never ever lose that.
I know. That would truly be a crime.
