Tonight's meeting on shoreline development at the end of 2nd St had no EPA or FROGGS or CGNA residents attending. State Sen Montgomery didn't even bother to show.

Katia,

A meeting was held at Bell House on Monday evening regarding the plan NYS DOC has to rent the building under construction at the end of 2nd St. so former incarcerated individuals avoid returning to a life of crime.

Many feel having many service centers, local to communities, including one local to Gowanus, serving individuals from CG, BH, RH and PS would be a better service to these people than having all Brooklyn residents report to Gowanus. Others feel a downtown Brooklyn location, close to a nexus of transit, office space and retail jobs, could be a better location.

Some are frustrated (as per comment above) that our "passion for Gowanus" may not include shoreline development that is not along Bond St.

Dredgers' concern is yet again, no waterfront access. We need landing spots! God forbid you capsize in our equipment and have to swim to 2nd St. to exit!

Let's Dredge!
