Next time you are sitting in Carroll Park here in Carroll Gardens, check out the free public WiFi, which has been installed courtesy of Time Warner Cable during the summer.

According to the NYC Park's Department web site, WiFi in the park is "Limited Free", which means that you can "connect for free for three ten-minute sessions every 30 days or purchase a 99 cent day pass for service through midnight, provided by Time Warner Cable and Cablevision. WiFi service is free at all times to Cablevision’s Optimum Online and Time Warner Cable broadband subscribers."

Apparently, the WiFi hot spot is located along Carroll Street.
