"NYC Mass Mob" At St. Agnes Church In Carroll Gardens This Sunday

oo
We all know what a flash mob is, but  you may not yet have heard about a mass mob. Well, there is one coming to Carroll Gardens.  St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sackett Street at Hoyt Street is the site chosen by New York City Mass Mob for their next gathering this Sunday, 18 October 2015 at the  9:15 am Mass.

New York City Mass Mob is a grassroots movement aimed at supporting Catholic churches and their communities. The goal is to get people from all over New York City to attend Mass as a specific church on a specific date. St. Agnes was selected after a social media-driven vote by NYC Mass Mob's membership this past July.

Msgr. Joseph Nugent, who pastors the south Brooklyn community, writes: “The parish family of St. Paul and St. Agnes is excited about Mass Mob descending on our beloved St. Agnes Church. We hope to heighten awareness that St. Agnes and her sister church, St. Paul, are alive and well, and open for business!”

Sunday October 18th also marks the beginning of St. Agnes' “Sounds on Sackett” concert series at 4 PM. The series will feature "Brooklyn talent on the church’s newly restored Brooklyn-made concert grand piano." Sunday's performance will feature Karen Merchant, who will be singing selections from the American Songbook
St. Agnes Church is located at 433 Sackett Street.
