Hannah Senesh Community Day School at 342 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens will be hosting its annual Tu Bishvat Festival on Sunday, January 24th from 9 am to 12 pm. Bring the kids, aged 2 to 10,  to enjoy activities to mark this ecological awareness day.

Here is more information:"Tu Bishvat is Israel's Birthday of the Trees and is a special time to celebrate the environment and our natural surroundings. Our unique event will feature interactive storytelling and a variety of crafts and art workshops run by local artists and community organizations."

Here is the schedule for the event:
*Music with Timbalooloo: 9:30am
*Play Me a Story: 10:30am The Tree Program: Two stories – Under the Shade of the Mulberry Tree: Told with shadow puppets, this story retells an old Chinese folk tale in which a greedy rich man is outwitted by a beggar to whom he sells the shade of his mulberry tree; and a Tu B’Shevat version of The Hatseller and the Monkeys: the familiar story of a man who sets off to sell his hats, only to have them stolen by a tree full of mischievous monkeys. This fun, very interactive story is a favorite!
*Arts and Crafts: Recycled materials craft projects, eco workshops, planting, and more.
The price for the event is $5 per person.
