Third Street Bridge Traffic Reduced To Single Lane During D.O.T. Repair Starting May 22

oo
The New York City Department of Transportation has just issued a notice of work  on the Third Street Bridge in Gowanus.  Traffic will be reduced to single lane of traffic between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m starting on Monday May 22, 2017.
The work is apparently related to "bridges recovery construction from Superstorm Sandy.
Flaggers will be out on either side of the lane reduction to assist traffic as well as variable message boards which will alert motorists of the construction."
Below is a list of workdays.
Monday 5/22
Tuesday5/23
Wednesday 5/24
Thursday 5/25
Friday 5/26
Tuesday 5/30
Wednesday 5/31
Thursday 6/1
Friday 6/1

It probably is a good idea to avoid the area on those days.

They could have started after rush hour. That. Ridge has suffered since Whole Foods opened. ;-)
