They served mimosas in pint glasses with added vodka. Great place to drink away a Sunday.Robnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-45424551118235207852015-09-16T09:10:45.911-04:002015-09-16T09:10:45.911-04:00Perfect spot for a pinball bar!!!Perfect spot for a pinball bar!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-7367407601490477142015-09-15T18:40:01.188-04:002015-09-15T18:40:01.188-04:00Village 247 was an excellent spot for a burger and...Village 247 was an excellent spot for a burger and a beer at a fair price. I was a semi-regular there and still miss it.

The layout there is tricky with the big open space up front and the staircase downstairs to a 2nd bar. I would think that a plain old bar that maximizes use of the SF would do a lot better than a restaurant there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-48819271898090227322015-09-15T16:42:40.727-04:002015-09-15T16:42:40.727-04:00A lot of places seem to be closing down on Smith S...A lot of places seem to be closing down on Smith Street.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-38860198072043174762015-09-15T13:06:28.834-04:002015-09-15T13:06:28.834-04:00the main problem with this place is it just wasnt ...the main problem with this place is it just wasnt very good...i live nearby and have no problem with another bar coming in...just hope its a good/clean one - with good food...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-72776363246574673252015-09-15T11:33:42.943-04:002015-09-15T11:33:42.943-04:00Can't say I'm surprised, I'm more surp...Can't say I'm surprised, I'm more surprised that PRB stuck around for as long as it did. I give PRB points for a lack of pretension, they didn't attempt to do anything very well. It was always a little too generic, place usually appeared empty, beer was flat, I never really got it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-20084013310216062782015-09-15T10:43:40.032-04:002015-09-15T10:43:40.032-04:00It's first incarnation as a restaurant was as ...It's first incarnation as a restaurant was as Village 247, I think. If there is anywhere in the neighborhood bars should be, it's Smith Street.

And, drinkers have the highest profit margin, so if you want an establishment to stay open for a while, I would encourage drinkers!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
