Quinn has been missing-in-action for ten years in her own neighborhood. Those of us who put here in office have been betrayed by her ambition and her selling out to Bloomberg and real estate industry. How would you like thirty-story luxury condos dotting your landscape? That is what she's done in Chelsea (with Scott Stringer's help). Please think long and hard before keeping her in any elected office. There are better choices.Chelsea womannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-88034594670328573602011-03-24T14:55:13.278-04:002011-03-24T14:55:13.278-04:00I actually agree with the Anonymous poster(s). No ...I actually agree with the Anonymous poster(s). No one is now buying a car cause the b71 is gone. But I do wish Quinn had spoken of parking and infrastructure beyond just street cleaning. Residential parking permits, tolling, and funding for better transit service are still big important questions that go hand in hand with discussing vehicles. In this City Council district (which includes the super car dominant Windsor Terrace... still less than half the population owns vehicle. Most of us are walking places, or using mass transit. http://www.tstc.org/reports/cpsheets/NYCcouncil_factsheet_district%2039.pdfDave 'Paco' Abrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17918397456642171509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-18873164225239574232011-03-24T12:55:16.994-04:002011-03-24T12:55:16.994-04:00The Union St. bus was eliminated and that sucks bu...The Union St. bus was eliminated and that sucks but NO ONE has decided to purchase a car because the bus is gone. The area has become more affluent so more people afford the luxury of a car. Politicians like to distract us with issues like this. Why not discuss our community's teacher layoffs instead?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-27998743448132925222011-03-24T11:32:28.782-04:002011-03-24T11:32:28.782-04:00Sorry I missed the meeting, but thanks for the exc...Sorry I missed the meeting, but thanks for the excellent update Katia. Re: parking... I am glad at least one voice pointed out the need for parking is directly linked to inadequate transportation. Hope everyone realizes that includes bus & subway for sure but also bike infrastructure, ferry service, and should certainly get bridge tolls and/or congestion pricing back on the table!Dave 'Paco' Abrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17918397456642171509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-13159486640120003572011-03-24T10:07:31.316-04:002011-03-24T10:07:31.316-04:00I doubt there's much correlation between stren...I doubt there's much correlation between strength of public transportation and car ownership in our neighborhood. I don't envision a CG resident saying "I can't deal with the F this morning, I'll just jump in the car and drive to the office." The cars are luxury goods like any other.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36892255.post-11240410850018844502011-03-24T09:46:44.270-04:002011-03-24T09:46:44.270-04:00Bloomie Lite.
