Well, my post about the parade possibly not happening this year prompted a few parents to email and to offer their help. That is great and restores my faith in the neighborhood. Thanks to these brave volunteers, the yearly parade in Carroll Park will take place after all. Three cheers for them! So get into your costumes and walk with the children of Carroll Gardens! (And if you see any of the volunteers, thank them for giving their time and for making Carroll Park the best park in Brooklyn.)

Thanks to the parents who came forward to offer their help, we will now have a fantastic parade on Sat. Oct 27th from noon to approx. 1:30 PM. Please mark your calendars. We are grateful to all of you who stepped up to the "bat" to continue this wonderful tradition in Carroll Park
