333 Carroll Street Update: Scarano Out!
I attended the Carroll Gardens Neighborhood Association's monthly meeting last night and one of the announcements was that architect Robert Scarano, better known as Mr. Mezzanine, is OFF the job at 333 Carroll Street.
This from Tom Gray of Bill DeBlasio's office who will be meeting with developer Fischman and with concerned neighbors later on this month.
The Buildings Department meanwhile has approved an amendment to the plans so that construction can resume. It is however unclear what those changes are.
It would be nice to know if they affect the height of this building.

Scarano is still listed as the applicant under the DOB applications. So I'm not sure if you can say with 100% certainty that he has been removed.
Hi John,
Well, I supposed that Tom Gray of Bill De Blasio's knew what he was talking about when he mentioned meeting with the new architect. But I guess the developer could just keep Scarano in the background while passing off a "new" architect to the community.
Of course I am still on the website as the architect, dumbass, because I am.
