Miriam On Court Street Calls It Quits
According to the poster in the window, Miriam at 229 Court Street has closed its doors after seven years. The Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean restaurant had replaced the the Cobble Hill Diner in February 2007.
The Park Slope location at 79 5th Avenue is still in business. In these tough financial times, it is likely that we will see more closings. I haven't really gone out to eat in the last few weeks. Have you, dear reader?

I hope we don't see many more stores going out of buisness.
Same here, not really being out for dinner or brunch
If this doom scenario (depression) materializes, a lot of business are going to go belly up, tough times ahead.
Too much debt on every one books (business and individuals). We need to come clean (obviously sad for those who are going to lose their jobs)
Good luck to everyone.
But those delicious burekas and mango martinis, and croissant sandwiches! No whyyyyy??!
glad this is gone. the place was terrible
never went there. bring on the diner!
