i also heard the Gowanus Canal contamination story broadcast live on the radio this morning on the way to work (NPR radio) (FM)
Walter Mugdan was very eloquent on NPR. After years of frustration and getting seemingly nowhere - it really feels like an agency is stepping up to the plate and taking ownership of the clean-up of the Gowanus - so long overdue. Mr. Mugdan is firm, realistic, and does not kow-tow. He inspires my confidence.
