The Court Street Festival, the yearly Carroll Gardens tradition that brings most everyone from the neighborhood out, took place this Sunday. As always, it was well attended, especially since the weather was spectacular. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the day, especially enough fun to be had for every age group. From 9th Street to Union Street, vendors were offering Italian sausages, funnel cakes, exotic drinks, ice-cream and a myriad of other greasy delights. Of course, PJ Hanley's roast pig topped that list by far.
Hope you had a chance to check it out and taste some of the food.°°°°°°°°

Always good fun.. and came-away with 2 sausage heros, zeppoles, mozz sticks, 2 corn dogs, 2 bubble-shooters and a $10 mini-guitar for our 5 yr. old son, which may be a lasting memory?
P.S.- Great pick of Celia C. (thx)
Does some local institution benefit from the clogging up of Court Street or is this just another commercial venture drawing professional vendors? If the latter, why does NYC allow this type of disruption? These are not real festivals; these are commercial enterprises.
I see myself (in silhouette, at least) in the 9th picture down! I never once made it outside the bar, except for quick trips to the basement. VERY busy day, naturally!
