"Nature Nails" Joins "Pretty Nails" On Same Court Street Block

Seriously? Another nail place in the neighborhood? The proliferation of these places is simply astounding.  And they all seem to make enough money to survive, whether on Court Street or on Smith Street.
The latest nail place,  Nature Nails, is slated to open at 189 Court Street near Bergen Street, in the former Prudential Douglas Elliman office. (The realtor moved to 327 Court Street in Carroll Gardens.)

Nature Nails will be exactly two doors away from Pretty Nails on the same block.
Am I missing something here?

Well, if Breaking Bad is any guide, these places might be fronts for money laundering...

Perhaps they're operated by the same owners...two storefronts are better than one.

Some of these places run by overlords , men who work there watching. These may be the only jobs the women can get to send money home. Tip them. It may be the only cut they get.

If we're getting an influx of nail salons at some point you have to realize it's because there simply is a lot of demand for them.

Rob, there is also a demand for drug dealers and hookers. That does not mean we need more in the neighborhood.

Yes because legitimate businesses like nail salons are the same as hookers and drugs. Thanks for playing "things that have nothing to do with the other."

I believe that Pretty Nails is owned by the same guys/family that owns the barber shop across the street (and the one on Smith as well).

Nail polishing..nail art as one of great ideas from natural nail color to petty one.

Maybe a nail salon is just a kind of business that takes very little money to operate, hence they can make the kind of scratch demanded by the landlord?
