Atomic Wings at 134 Smith Street, between Dean and Bergen Streets in Boerum Hill, is no more. The eatery opened on Restaurant Row back in 2009 and was part of a chain which offers "authentic wings fresh from Buffalo, where the chickens are unusually big as well as tasty."

It seemed popular at first, but in recent years, the place seemed empty most of the time. By late 2011, Lar's Pasta To Go was added to the location, but that did not do well at this location either.
Now both are gone and the storefront is for rent.

Are you sorry to see them go?  What would you rather see at this location.

  3. The wings were pretty good, but service terrible! The place had a weird vibe. A good Mexican restaurant would be appreciated!

  5. How about a place where people can sit around and complain? Invite everyone that comments on this blog.

  6. This place had it coming. I am a long time fan of the Park Slope chain and in general the wings are very good and hot enough for anyone's taste, but this chain was terrible. After a 80 minute delivery which left me with only half my order and the rest a mess I complained and was informed that the chain was on its way out. This was in October, haha!

  7. I ordered there but I don't really remember being blow away by the food. I do remember reading a lot of the online reviews saying that location wasn't as good as the other ones.

  8. Wing Bar is the best, go there instead!

  9. I wish Wing Bar had a real website and not just an assortment of social media presences.

  10. I'd love to see real BBQ or Spanish like the old La mancha (read: not tiny portions like La Vara)

  12. Attention wing lovers! Do you love wings? Well have I got a place for you. Atomic Wings is a recently closed restaurant on Smith Street. I know what you’re thinking, “…but you’re a pescatarian!” Don’t worry, I’m one step ahead of you. Atomic wings has farm-to-table celery and carrots. Their blue cheese dressing is made from local dairies in the Hudson Valley and their Buffalo sauce is from only local purveyors who grow peppers on their green roofs. But the meal isn’t over until you have the desert, which is more veggie goodness. I don’t know about you, but when I think about wings, I totally start craving veggies! So here’s the deal: Next time you have a craving for wings but suddenly remember you only eat animals that live underwater, check out Atomic Wings, you won’t be disappointed.

  13. Did any one ever order "Lar's Pasta to Go"? This was a ongoing joke between me and my husband whenever we couldn't decide what to order.
