Please Help Bring Ballroom Dancing Class To The Carroll Gardens Library

The Carroll Gardens Library has applied for funding for an 8-week ballroom dancing program led by a professional instructor. The program is meant to "support the social and recreational interests of older adults, many of whom have expressed their specific interest in a ballroom dancing program."

In order to make this branch led-community program a reality, the Carroll Gardens library is competing with other Brooklyn branches for BKLYN INCUBATOR funding.

To launch this fun activity at our library, the community needs to show interest by liking or leaving a brief comment on the Brooklyn Public Library Facebook page HERE.

You may also sign a paper petition at the Carroll Gardens Branch located at 396 Clinton Street.

It just takes a moment. Won't you please help?

  1. This is FANTASTIC! Bringing the older folks in with the younger people moving to CG. I no longer live in CG, but boy if I did, I'd be the first one to drag my partner. Could be great fun. Hope CG residents take advantage of such a nice community spirit. Really nice!
