Once again, Carroll Garden's Court Tree Collective is hosting a fabulous evening of food. All you have to do is make a reservation here to be part of it.
On March 11, from 1-3 pm, the Tiffin Club, a culinary website and pop-up dinner series dedicated to showcasing regional Indian food, will present 'Mimosa/Samosa', a South Indian brunch at the neighborhood gallery, located at 371 Court Street.
Here are the details:
Winter food got you down? Tired of the same-old brunch options? A South Indian brunch at Court Tree Collective is the perfect way to shake off those winter food blues. The Tiffin Club presents a winter brunch that draws on the colors and flavors of South India for a meal that’s sure to wake up your taste buds and transport you to a warmer and more delicious place.
We’ll start with mimosas, of course, and platters of homemade samosas. (Frankly, we’re shocked no one’s explored the mimosa-samosa connection sooner!) We’ll have carafes of cold-brewed south Indian filter coffee at the ready, too, to help get the meal started. A beaker of black pepper and tamarind rasam, a clear spicy broth with a tangy-sweet edge starts the meal, followed by kanji, a savory rice porridge studded with spices, braised spinach, and shrimp. And for the main course we’ll have freshly made dosas served with a peppery and delicious chicken saaru, an herb-rich stew made with chicken thighs, black pepper and lots of cilantro! Come join us for a little taste of the Indian south!
The Mimosa/Samosa menu includes:
South Indian filter coffee
Black pepper and tamarind rasam
Kanji with shrimp and spinach
Dosa with Chicken Curry
The price for this event ins $65 per person.
