I have and it is grossly overated. Not the original people or like it was years ago I had a rice ball and a panel sandwich and it was and it tasted like it was fried in a dirty pot.
Pannelle special and Manhattan special soda on tap!! This is the way it was and still is. The place is a time capsule. Beautiful tile. Tin ceilings. Old school fixtures. Please do not ever go away.
Dear Katia: The New Yorker helped me find your blog. It is a treat to read. Even if I'm a long way from your neighborhood, it's good to hear that it's doing fine. This is the best thing about our access to the internet. Keep up the good work, L&P George
Go for the riceballs & panelle special!

Shame on the two naysayers above.
ReplyDeleteOverpriced Sicilian fast food.
ReplyDeleteI've been. It's nice and very friendly, lots of charm. The food is average. I wouldn't not go there again.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites in the neighborhood! Especially the Pasta Con Sarde. Support our 100 year old restaurants!
ReplyDeleteI got a take away of tripe they prmised was delicious. I took it home, tasted it, and threw it out.
ReplyDeleteAte there only once. It was a very average meal which I didn't finish - never returned.
