Perhaps fall has motivated you to get involved with your community? Maybe you want to be better informed about neighborhood issues? As PMFA resumes posting after a long, lazy summer, we will let you know about all the important meetings and events that are coming up.
The most important issue in the neighborhood remains the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's clean-up of the Gowanus Canal, a Superfund site.
The Gowanus Canal Community Advisory Group will hold its general meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26, 2017, 6:30 PM, at Mary Star of the Sea Senior Apartments, 41 1st Street, Brooklyn.
The EPA will be on hand to give a project update to the community and will answer questions regarding the canal.
So please make time to attend. The meetings are open to everyone.
