There is no Brooklyn bound F train below Broadway-Lafayette. The F is running on the D train. To get to the PS area from the city, I just took the F/D to Atlantic/Pacific, switched to the R and walked home from 4th Ave.

This just happened at the 15th Street station the beginning of this week. Hope it wasn't the same person.

I am so sorry to hear that a man jumped in front of the train - so tragic. Also for the conductor who had to witness it, and any others who may have been there.
In Kyoto, the platform is walled, and the doors open where there are doors in that wall that slide open also - like with the Air Train. I know this is impractical given how many stations etc. there are -but it is much safer - also, accidents can happen so easily on our platforms the way they are designed. Narrow spaces in some parts.
