A Little Bridge Called Carroll
The Carroll Bridge over the Gowanus Canal seems stuck in time. Not for much longer I am afraid. If the Office of City Planning changes the zoning of the immediate area around the canal, this little movie by someone called "writerman000" will seem like a glimpse of days gone by.

Nice! but not nice that it may be disturbed...sometimes I feel like I am in an industrial town in upstate NY when I cross that bridge...
I know what you mean. But it also has this element of mystery about it.
Just yesterday, my Italian neighbors were cracking up that if the city ever wanted to clean the canal up, they would have a lot of skeletons to dispose of. When I asked them it this was really true or just Carroll Gardens legend, they assured me that there were lots of funny things swimming under the surface. I don't think they were kidding...
If we continue blogging and making trouble. maybe we will end up down-under those murky, oil-slicked water.
Either that or laid out at Scotto's!
