Dvir's Salon

oo
Though I am really upset about big chain stores settling in my neighborhood, there still are many wonderful individually owned businesses around. We just have to seek them out and support them.
One of my favorite places is Dvir's Salon at 97 Bond. Dvir, owner and stylist extraordinaire, used to work in several salons in Carroll Gardens before he opened his very own place.
And ever since, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Walk through the door of this small place and Dvir will greet you with a huge smile. ( This man never seems to have a bad day.) " Do you want something to drink, something to eat?" he will ask you, making you feel as though you are not only coming for a haircut but also for a social visit.
Can he cut hair too, you ask? Of course! Otherwise I would not write about his little salon.
Dvir is the kind of stylist who never imposes his own taste on you or your hair. He simply seems to be able to make hair look glamorous yet natural. I have never walked out of his salon without feeling like myself, just better. And that is the highest compliment I can pay him.
Check him out! And if you should go, make sure to tickle his little dog Mac. You can find the little pooch sitting next to the window ready to welcome you.
