Bicycle Barricade

oo

On the corner of President and Smith at the F train Station.

Now, I applaud people using their bicycle. And I fully understand the need to be able to safely park and lock that bike at the subway station. But come on! Do cyclists need to block the sidewalk for pedestrians? Not cool, I say!

Don't you realize that cyclists are allowed to ride anywhere, any direction at any speed and take priority over cars and pedestrians?
Yes, these are parked a bit inconveniently - but no more so than many of the estaurant sidewalk tables on Smith Street, and the winter enclosures at grocers that display fruits, vegetables, flowers on sidewalks.

This is the same spot where a bunch of parked bicycles have ben vandalized (stripped of parts) and their skeleton have been left abandoned for months now. Honestly, that is more of an eye-sore for me than a misparked bike...
