Cute little houses right next to a huge monstrous high-rise. Brooklyn? No! Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
(Have the Toll Brothers been here?)

yes, so horrible. Being able to stay beach side should be reserved for the few that can afford a house on its own lot. Keep the masses that can only afford an apt in a big building away. Obviously they ruin it for elite.
If it where up to me, no houses should be built right on the shoreline. So there! Surfside Beach was hit by Hurricane Hugo back in 1989. The devastation was incredible. The big building you see on this picture had an unbelievable amount of damage. The outside is stuccoed and the windows were just blown out. It was under renovation for many, many months. Such buildings have no place on a beach. Not here, not in Florida and not in other hurricane prone areas. Not even for the elite!
