Fine Middle Eastern Food Coming To Court

oo

316 Court Street was until just recently a small tailor/ tuxedo rental place. Now, it sports a new stuccoed storefront façade. Olive Vine is coming with Middle Eastern cuisine. Already well established on 7th Avenue, this may be a nice addition to the neighborhood.
Competition for Zaytoon's on Smith? Let's hope the menu is not too similar.

I'm sad to see the dry cleaners (Exquisite!) go. They were great people and always wrapped my pearl buttons.

Zaytoons pretty much rocks - not sure how well the new place do against the standard.

More disturbing is the coming Smithification of Court Street. The corner of Court and Sackett will apparently be a French bistro. whoo hoo.

I had not even noticed that the cleaner closed until I saw the (so far) ugly storefront change.
I know what you mean about Court becoming like Smith. Way too many restaurants....

As long as Nelson's little bodega remains @ President & Court, there's hope!

Love your blog, Katia!

Well, thank you! I am glad you like my little rants.
I would be sad if Nelson's ever left too. They were displaced once before when they were on Court in Cobble Hill. The place is now one of those expensive boutiques. So lets hope Nelson's stays awhile across the park. I love their flower displays.

I have to say that we left the dry cleaners at 314 Court for Noble due to ruined clothes in our wash and fold and lost dry cleaning . . .

Is there anything to this long going rumor about the French Bistro in the old OTB?
