The court has been groomed, the white plastic chairs spaced equally along the black chain link fence: the Bocce Boys Of Summer are back in action at Carroll Park. However, yesterday, as I was walking by, an ambulance came rushing around the corner from Court Street, sirens blaring, and stopped right in front of the bocce area on Carroll Street. The stretcher came out and the two E.M.S. workers walked right to the group of elderly gentlemen who were gathered around the sick or injured person. I did not wait around to find out what had happened. I hope everything is all right... Do you know, dear reader?
