In the continuing battle to save Carroll Gardens, our determined heroes prepare to meet with Councilman Tony Avella. The meeting, at Councilman Avella's Bayside, Queens offices was organized by members of CORD and CGNA to present the case for protecting the garden blocks in Carroll Gardens from out of context development. The text amendment, which was introduced by the office of City Planning and approved by Community Board 6, the Brooklyn Borough President, and the City Planning Commission, is now being sent to the City Council and will come before Councilman Avella's Land Use Committee on July 21st.

Excellent work guys! If no one said anything CG would just get plowed over. Hopefully this will be treated as a no brainer. Carroll Gardens without the gardens just doesn't make any sense!
