Gowanus Canal After Tropical Storm Hannah
After a very heavy rainfall due to Tropical Storm Hannah this week-end, the Gowanus Canal seemed to be funkier than ever before. Some strange objects were floating by, just below the surface of the heavily polluted water. Amongst the more disgusting "floaters" were some actual teeny fish.
Ah, Brooklyn wild life.

I think you photographed a gigantic jelly-fish.
The canal didn't get a chance to flush itself even though it doesn't do a good job of that itself anyway.
