Pardon Me For Asking, but are retail rents going down yet?
It does seem to me, dear reader, that Lifestyles For Body And Soul at 185 Atlantic between Clinton and Court, was still open when I walked by shorty before Thanksgiving. Now, the place is for rent by the owner.
Once upon a time, this was home to the wonderful Pete's Ice Cream Parlor. Remember?

Ah, Pete's. Yes, the most excellent ice cream parlor ever!! It was criminal that it closed. I miss the fat cat that used to just lounge around, waiting to be petted.
Oh, my goodness, I remember that cat too.
I spent quite a few afternoons at Pete's while my kids attended birthday parties. That has to be at least 14 years ago.
Pete's was also a treat and reward for my kids after they had their check-ups and had survived another immunization shot in Brooklyn Heights.
And a great treat it was.
OH Pete's! What joy. Home-made everything+coffee+feline. That was indeed a loss.
