A Moment In Time: Checking Out The Store

oo

Standing on his hind legs,
he looked into the window
of the deli on Smith Street.
He actually was less interested in the merchandise
Than in following his owner with his eyes.

That's Buster!

Ha, that is an appropriate name for him. He looks like a buster and like a real sweetheart.

oooooh, I always feel terrible whenever I see a dog waiting for his owner outside a store.

You always have such nice pics.
Brooklyn looks so cool in your photos.
I'm up here in da Bronx.

I've talked to Buster's owner several times when she has stopped with her daughter for after-school snacks at the Deli on Hoyt and Carroll streets. I'd assumed Buster was an older dog, but the owner said he's young and just big for his age. He is a real sweetheart and completely in love with the owner's young daughter. I always enjoy seeing them outside the Deli on Hoyt and Carroll streets. He is quiet while waiting for her and well behaved, but he isn't completely happy until she comes out of the store. He is "a noble beast."

So nice of you to give us more details on Buster.
He is awfully cute in an unusual way.
I'll make sure to say hi to him next time I run into him and his owner.

Doggies insist upon coming with you and they hate it when you have to pick up milk.
