Need An Apartment? Look Up At This Brownstone Window
You see, dear Reader, it doesn't take much to open a real estate office. All you need is a sign, some index cards and a brownstone window. Oh, and maybe a phone.
Take Mr. Frank Valvo, Licenced Real Estate Broker, on Clinton Street, at the corner of Schermerhorn. He may not have a snazzy storefront, but he seems to have quite a few listings taped to this parlor floor window at 149 Clinton Street.
So next time you walk by, look up and check it out. He may just have the perfect pad for you.

I rented an apartment thru Frank a few years ago, which I still live in. He was pleasant, helpful and it's an apartment that I wouldn't have found without him. Not a bad experience except for the broker fee.
Hi Anon,
Thanks for letting us know. I had actually never notices his little postings in the window until a few days ago.
Glad he helped you find a place.
I rented an apartment in Brooklyn Heights through Frank in the Fall of 2009. He and his assistants were very nice and professional. Frank was very helpful in answering some questions that I had after signing the lease and moving in. I had never paid a broker's fee in the past, but felt that it was worth it in this case. I recommend Frank Valvo.
Frank Valvo is a good guy. I would recommend him. He does great work.

Frank is a good Guy i would rent from him again
and he is a cutie too
January 2011 we were moving to New York from out of state and while we knew we wanted to live around Brooklyn Heights we had no idea how to find an apartment. We found this blog post and set up a meeting with Frank and 3 other brokers. Frank was so friendly and didn't make you jump through hoops like the other brokerage firms (no money order, tax returns from 5 years, etc!). If you are from out of state, he doesn't have a website which is sort of weird but he is old school. After a year of living in Brooklyn Heights, I would highly recommend Frank!
Thanks for the recommendation, Kim. It's great to hear good things about Frank. So glad my little neighborhood site led you to him and to your new apartment.
Hope you like living in Brooklyn.
