The People In My Neighborhood: The Stylish Lady

oo

Proving that one can be stylish at any age,
the elderly lady always manages to look put together:
Long high-healed boots,
black leather gloves and
wonderful broadly rimmed hat.

I have seen her often on Court Street.
Have you?

I have never seen her - but what an inspiration she is!

Is she using the stroller as a cart or is there a kid in there?

I've never seen her either, but what a breath of fresh air, given the way people dress these days. I see too many people on the subways in the mornings actually going to WORK looking like they're going to clean out the garage. Neatness and cleanliness speak just as loudly as slovenliness...which would anyone rather be? More power to her!

I think she does have a kid in there sometimes. Don't know if she babysits or if its her grandchild.

I've seen her around Sackett Street between Clinton and Henry, i have always wondered about that baby carriage! She is ALWAYS dressed to the 9's!

Hi FIB,
I knew you would appreciate her!
I wouldn't be able to walk as much as half a block in those boots!

We love her. See her almost every morning on Union or Sackett. The wife wants to have her over for tea. I'm SURE there are some stories there.

Yes, I love her too.
She puts a smile on my face every time I see her.
