Skateboarding with a gasmask? Only in Brooklyn!Only in the Gowanus area! A few days ago, photographer Jose Gaytan sent me this wonderful photo, which he titled "Gowanus Canal Surfer." He shot it on 4th Avenue close to 2nd Street.
Makes you wonder what this kid knows....
I had the great pleasure of finally meeting Jose in person this week-end, after corresponding with him for a few months now. I hope to have the pleasure again, soon.
His stunning photographs are currently on exhibit in a show called " Brooklyn In Transition: A Photographic Essay On the Gowanus Canal at the Brooklyn Library's main branch.
