A Moment In Time: Fire Alarm

oo

Saturday noon,
at the corner
of Union and Smith Streets.
Four, no...wait,
five fire trucks
were responding
to an emergency.
Anyone know what happened?

It was official FDNY business, not any of yours, Katia.

Don't worry, Katia. You're not being nosy. It's only natural to be curious about the reason for an FDNY response. We do it in concern for our neighbors and their well-being. Debra must have gotten up on the wrong side of her bed this morning.

Debra....get a life.

If you are not interested in knowing whats going on in your community...why are you reading Katia's blog! Katia does an excellent job in keeping folks informed about what is going on in the neighborhood...community board meeting, hearings on the gowanus canal etc.

I live on the block and saw the fire engines on Sat. I'd like to know why 5 fire trucks showed up. It could have been something relating to public safety!

If you don't have something constructive to add...then why don't you just keep your trap shut!

There is absolutely no need to be rude to Katia!

Thanks to you both, Anons!

I get a lot of nasty comments. I publish most, because I don't like to censor.
I try to not let it bother me, but it is nice to know that I have more friends than foes out there.

Cheers!

One of your neighbors reported a gas leak. The response of 5 or 6 pieces of apparatus is typical for this type of incident.

Well, thank you for the information, Frank. Much appreciated.

Katia, if you get alot of nasty comments, THAT should tell you something! I don't agree that you post most of them; I don't get to read any of them. So, what you say is untrue.
