Yet Another Nail Salon To Open In The Neighborhood
What is it with nail salons? How can they all survive?
Yet another one is to open in the neighborhood, this one at 143 Court Street, right off Atlantic Avenue.
Until very recently, the location was home to Abu Yasser & G Travel Services.
Not far away on Smith Street at the Corner of Pacific Street, Iris Nails is about to open (if it hasn't already.)

Do you know of a decent nail salon shop in Carroll Gardens? thanks.
Hi Anon,
Sorry, times have been tough and I haven't had a manicure for a long time.
But maybe another reader has a suggestion?
I hope users are making sure that the nail workers aren't being fucked over. An investigation a few years back revealed how exploited the women in some of places were.
Every dollar you spend is a political act.
Honestly, I don't think it's a terrible thing. It keeps them cheap! It also forces the older nail salons in the area to stay on top of cleanliness and new treatments.
They don't all last, however. The one across from me (south side Atlantic between Henry and Hicks) just closed after a relatively short life.
What's with the profanity, Matthew? I'm surprised at you Katia for allowing it.
