There was just the slightest hint of green
on the birch tree's drooping branches
on President Street,
as its new leaves slowly uncurled.

Actually, the trees usually leaf out in April, perhaps a tad quicker with the 80-90 degree weather we just had. Katia, you missed photographing my house by two...my tree is leafing out right on schedule.
