Best Comment Of The Day: Please Be Patient

The worst part of the weekend cancellations is having to transfer at the under-construction Jay St. station. Once you enter into the depths of hell via a broken escalator, you are welcomed by the sight of peeling paint and plaster chunks clinging to the ceiling above you, the toxic smells of resin and gas, and the ear-splitting vibrations of jackhammers, all the while desperately hoping the train will come. But of course you've just missed it.
Too bad they can't suspend platform construction on those cancellation weekends. Though I guess then I wouldn't be able to practice my 'Please Be Patient' exercises the M
TA keeps telling me about...

Amen.
Also, the MTA had dozens of buses lined up along Jay street ready to pick up the displaced passengers. But the bad news: All those buses were idling and polluting while their drivers sat inside with the air con blowing away. For hours.
