Randy Kaplan

Unfortunately, the first concert in the much beloved Carroll Park Kids' Concert Series had to be cancelled because of rain, but on July 18th, the fun resumes with the return of Randy Kaplan, a favorite amongst the neighborhood's young.

Make sure to put the date on your calendar. Your kids wouldn't want to miss this neighborhood event.

On behalf of The Friends of Carroll Park, we are pleased to announce that
RANDY KAPLAN RETURNS to the

CARROLL PARK CONCERT SERIES on JULY 18

“One of Brooklyn’s best concert series for Kids” declares the Brooklyn Baby Newsletter!

“The perfect antidote to the afternoon doldrums” proclaims Time Out NY Kids!

This series of free concerts, featuring bands suitable for the whole family, continues with three remaining performances and lots of outdoor community fun.

In his songs for children and their families, Randy Kaplan blends American Roots, Country Blues, and Comedic Storytelling. “He doesn’t dumb it down for the kids… He just expects them to come along for the ride. And they do” (TIME OUT NEW YORK KIDS). Randy started his children’s music career in Park Slope, Brooklyn, where he was a music teacher at Beansprouts preschool. He now lives in Los Angeles, California. Enough with all the kiddie concerts in the park. There are plenty of child-free adults who live in this neighborhood too. Carroll Gardens is unfortunately turning into Park Slope.

There is no reason why we can't have adult music concerts at night, but someone has to organize them.

Care to do it?
