*** Since I was not able to attend the ceremony, this post was written by my husband Glenn Kelly.  Thanks, Glenn!

The Court Street Merchants Association and the Friends of Carroll Park organized a Veterans Day ceremony at the World War 1 monument in Carroll Park. Our past and present military men and woman were thanked for their service and those who made the ultimate sacrifice were honored. Our elected officials, Councilman Brad Lander, and State Senator Daniel Squadron expressed their thanks to the veterans present and to the organizers of the event.
Pastor Rodriguez led the assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem and presented a prayer for all of our soldiers, especially those with physical, psychological, and spiritual injuries.
The event was well received by the public and we are all committed to continue the effort.
