Future New York "Rollin Lobster Love Shack"

Since opening Red Hook Lobster Pound in 2009, Brooklynites Ralph and Susan have steadily grown their crustacean business. Not only have they supplied New Yorkers with the freshest Maine lobsters at their Van Brunt Street pound and served their delectable lobster rolls weekly at the Brooklyn Flea at 1 Hanson Place, they have also brought their 'lobster love' to Washington, D.C. via two food trucks, "Rollin Lobster Love Shack" Number One and Two.

In May, according to an announcement by Ralph and Susan, there will be a "Rollin Lobster Love Shack Number Three", and it will be rolling through the streets of New York City's five boroughs, bringing those lobster rolls to a street corner near you.

Susan writes:

Everyone has asked, why don't you have a lobster roll truck in NYC? Why only DC? Well folks, selling food off a truck in NYC is like going to war every day. Nevertheless, Ralph and I decided to give everyone what they want, a moveable losbter feast. Beginning in May, we will be bringing the Best Crustacean in the Nation to the streets of all five boroughs (yes, Manhattan us Brooklyn kids will show you some love) in a friggin' FOOD TRUCK -- the Rollin Lobster Love Shack, Lobby Roll #3 (1 and 2 are in DC). Warning, we still have some loose ends to tie
up. More on the truck later.
Due to recent developments in NYC vending laws, we will be on the move ALOT, the best way to find us will be twitter@redhooklobster or @lobstertruckny, we may only be in one spot for an hour at a time.

Yet another reason why spring can't come fast enough, I say.

***FYI: Until mid-March, there will be no live lobsters on sale at the pound at 284 Van Brunt Street because of tank maintenance. Check the website for further info.

More food trucks good. Hopefully they will be nicer than
the usual LP workers I've dealt with. First they had lemon wedges then they didn't. Then claimed they never serve with lemon. I find the lobster rolls incredibly bland. And very expensive treat at a flea market. But people like it.
How can there be that many lobsters in Maine?
