Twice a year, thousands of New Yorkers pitch in at hundreds of city parks on "It's My Park Day," in association with Partnership for Parks. Join friends and neighbors this Saturday, 10/15 from 11 Am to 3 PM for:
Volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels, including planting, weeding, painting, cleaning, fence mending, and mulching.
-  Plant exchange: bring offshoots from your own garden patch to plant in the park, and we'll send you home with your own living piece of Carroll Park!
Kids Programs! There will be fun stuff for the kids from noon onward, highlighted by an awesome sword fighting demonstration in front of the Robert Acito Park House at 1:00, presented by Carroll Park's very own Shakespeareans, Smith Street Stage
Book swap: on Saturday we're introducing a new fixture at our events, rolling out our big red book cart! Thanks to donations from volunteers and supporters, we've got a ton of FREE books for the taking. We encourage you to bring by your old titles and take home some new ones!
