First Indications Of Spring In Carroll Gardens

Even though Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter on February 2nd, the bright sunshine and mild temperature are far more springlike than is normal for February.
The first 'official' signs of spring have also popped up in my front garden in the last few days.
Deep purple pansies have started blooming and amidst the dead leaves, two yellow crocuses (or croci, if you prefer) have popped up. The daffodils are also pushing through the ground and seem to have grown two inches overnight.
Yes, we may still get some snow and cold days, but perhaps the groundhog got it wrong this year.

Crazy. I've seen snow drops, too. I miss winter.

Spring will be here soon enough and we'll be seeing all our gardens blooming.
