The last time I was in Menton, a charming old town right on the Mediterranean, was 27 years ago on my honeymoon. Menton is right at the border of Italy and retains a lot of its charm, as compared to Cannes and Nice. It also feels much more 'real' than Monaco.
Below are just some of the photos I took as we walked along the seashore and the old part of town.
Leaving Menton and heading inland. One last glimpse of the Mediterranean way back behind the mountains.
From Menton, we headed inland to the Luberon region, with it's fields of lavender. They are every bit as spectacular as you can imagine. And the scent is heavenly.
The photos don't even come close to capturing the expand of purple against the cliffs in the background.
Today, we are making our way to our farmhouse in the Auvergne. More soon, dear Reader.

The lavender field looks amazing with the mountains in the backdrop. Wish you could have bottled the scent! Have a great time, and thanks as always for sharing - looking forward to more.
WOW
