We have been very lucky this summer. The weather, until yesterday afternoon, has been glorious. The temperatures have hovered around 80 degrees and the nights are delightfully cool. (I sleep under two wool blankets and am not looking forward to the muggy weather in New York.)

Picture Of The Day: La Chaîne Des Puys
A glimpse of the famous Puy-de-Dôme volcano, which, at 1,464 m (4,803ft) dominates the Chaîne des Puys in the region of the Massif Central, Auvergne. As I mentioned before, the landscape here is quite spectacular.
