It looks as though it won't be too long until Bareburger in Cobble Hill will be open for business.  The new eatery at 145 Court Street is diagonally across from Trader Joe's and the new Chipotle.

Like the original Bareburger, which got its start in Astoria, Queens, back in 2009, this outpost of the micro-chain of burger restaurants will be "serving food made of organic ingredients free of hormones, pesticides and other unsavory elements."

Customers will be able to create their own burger by choosing either beef, lamb, wild boar, elk, bison or ostrich and pairing it either with brioche, multi-grain roll or tapioca rice bun, to name just a few of the choices.   For vegetarians, Bareburger offers fresh salads.
Click here  to check out the entire menu.

Sounds great, though of course, there already are quite a few burger joints on Court Street.

This location was previously occupied by Immigrant Travel, a middle eastern store which sold suitcases, clothing, perfume and newspapers.

I just tried BareBurger on 73rd near my office. Great food. So excited they're coming to my neighborhood. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if they buy their meats from Jetro. That place is awful, food service grade meats. Will they tell?
I liked the little store that was there, before. Yes. Too many burgers on Court.

What are the too many burger places on Court? Moo Burger and where else? Five Guys closed. Vinzees? They closed too. Serving a hamburger does not make you a "Burger place".

If you look at the Bareburger menu they say where the meat comes from. It's a great fast-casual option for families that want to sit down together for dinner. We need this in the hood.

Another addition to Cobble Hill's Burger District. Maybe it's time for a burger crawl...

Bareburger's organic meat comes from Blackwing Quality Meats not Jetro. I didn't know Illinois was local...yay! Frozen, shipped meat. This is not Park Slope. We are not fans of franchises or chainlets (lol) in this 'hood'. Just ask the guys from Five Guys...
