Though it was beastly hot, the Carroll Park Fair 2013, which took place on Saturday, was a great success. As in years past, it was a great opportunity for many to empty their closets and for others to pick up housewares, books, jewelry, children's toys, and clothing.
(I walked away with a wonderful set of lace curtains and a beautiful leather handbag)
Best of all, it was the perfect opportunity to run into friends and neighbors.

The Carroll Park Fair is organized by Friends Of Carroll Park, an all volunteer organization that is dedicated to improving the park for everyone. All proceeds from vendor spaces and donations are used for plantings and events in the park.

We missed the fair this year, alas. I love the Israeli street signs/address markers. Does anyone know how to contact that vendor?
