"Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future?" Jacqueline Kennedy

As in years past, Smith Street Funday 2013 this past Sunday was a blast. This event isn't your same-old street fair. Since many of the eateries on Restaurant Row take part in the celebration, it's a real culinary event. It also attracts some of Brooklyn's best designers and craftspeople, who feature their original designs.
And of course, there is music.

Hope you were able to participate.

Was there no cheese eating contest from Stinky this year. I missed that. Maybe they had to cancel it because that guy kept winning every year.

I was wondering about that. Perhaps I missed it. I was there at about 1 PM.
