Carroll Gardens Getting Ready For The Winter Holidays

Over the past few days, Carroll Gardens has been getting ready for the upcoming Holidays. Christmas trees have been appearing on street corners , the lamp posts on Smith Street have been adorned with green garlands and stores have been decorating their windows.
In Carroll Park, a large Christmas tree has already been installed in the Court Street planting area.  It will be lit during the yearly Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday, December 5th at 6 pm.
Santa will be making an appearance.  There will be caroling as well as free refreshments.
The event is sponsored by the Court Street Merchants Association with the help of Friend Of Carroll Park.

UPDATE:
I am sorry to announce that tonight's Tree Lighting Ceremony in Carroll Park has just been cancelled because of rain.

Court Street Merchants Association has rescheduled for Friday December 12th at 6 PM.
