"Canine Corner" Takes Over Storefront Once Occupied By Mastellone

The large corner storefront at 303 Court Street has seen quite a bit of change in the past three years. For a long time, the storefront was home to Mastellone's, an old-fashioned, family-owned Italian deli/ superette, which closed in 2013.
The store was  transformed into Big Apple Gourmet, a produce store. That business lasted just about six months and closed in spring 2014.
Last summer,  it became Carroll Gardens Market, a sad re-incarnation of the popular Mastellone's, but it failed miserably after six months.
Now, it appears that it will become a dog day care, grooming, boarding and supply store called  "The Canine Corner".  There are certainly lots of dogs in the neighborhood, so this will probably be more successful than the badly run delis that have occupied the space recently.
What do you think?

Bully Here...

Holy cow. Looks like I got out just in time.

I don't understand how these places open. I pray there are no drying cages without timers or shut offs.
Use towels people. Do these owners have experience with animals? Please check credentials before leaving your animals here. Just to be safe.

I hope the flower vendors stay.

Bully, what magical neighborhood did you move to?

That place that was there briefly had a fantastic $2 falafel. And they sold all their cheeses for $4/lb.... which is probably why they went out of business so quickly.

Bully - Please tell us the paradise for which you fled Carroll Gardens. Please also tell us why you still have so much interest in a neighborhood that you fled and is no longer worthy of your stamp of approval.

You must have a lot of time on your hands.

I guess you never moved away if you're still lurking around- right "Bully"?
Stop bugging us and start bugging your new neighbors with your opinions- wherever you are.

Bully here...

I actually moved to Queens to a neighborhood in which you can still visit mom-and-pop stores, where groceries are easily obtained without a car or a loan, and where restaurants are plentiful yet reasonably priced. Kinda like what CG used to be. I also own twice the space for less than my rent in CG. I have fond memories of my time in the 'hood and still visit. I guess I spend time on this blog mostly to keep up on the comings and goings of nail salons in the old 'hood.

Bully -

So essentially after moving out of CG you want to tell all of us fools who still live here that it now sucks and where you live is much better. There's a term for people like you, it's "obnoxious jerk".

It would be nice if I could find the phone number to this place. Anyone? Can't blow the picture up to see the phone number.
